What is DBA publication?
A DBA publication is a small legal notice that is printed in the back portion of an adjudicated newspaper. State law requires DBA registrants to publish their DBA within 30 days of filing their new business name. Publishing your DBA secures your DBA name for five years. This legal announcement must be published in an adjudicated newspaper, in the county in which the principal place of business is located (it is important to note that not all newspapers hold an adjudication.) The DBA publication must run once a week, for four consecutive weeks.
